ST 1.2

ST1.2: Students work independently and collaboratively in an inquiry-based learning environment that encourages finding creative solutions to authentic and complex problems.

River Ridge Academy was designed with a specific focus on STEM that allows our students to work independently and collaboratively in an inquiry-based learning environment.  In all grade levels and content areas, teachers are providing students inquiry-based learning opportunities and follow a universal design process. Additionally, our Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Launch curriculum, LEGO Robotics Lab, Gateway to Technology, Media Arts and Google Basics courses students are immersed in an environment that encourages creative problem solving to authentic and complex real world problems.  Within our school the structure and design of the hallways and classrooms support an inquiry-based learning environment. When designing our new school details such as furniture and resources were carefully considered to support our STEM program to enhance the collaborative learning environment for all students.
