ST1.10: Community, post-secondary, and business/industry partners and/or families actively support and are engaged with teachers and students in the STEM program.
River Ridge Academy has over 250 parent volunteers along with over 200 fathers who are apart of our “Watch Dog” program. Beyond the amazing level of parental support in our school we also have a growing number of community business partnerships. Publix, Kendrick Construction, Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, Palmetto Electric, Pulte Homes, and Beaufort County Solid Waste and Recycling are a few of our STEM partners. These partners participate in our STEM program in a variety of ways that support our STEM learners and educators through funding of our programs and resources through donations, grants or community based learning experiences. In addition our students participate in many STEM related field experiences including trips to Boeing and participating in the Kids in Kayaks Program.
