2019-2020 RRA HP Laptop Collection Process

 

SAFETY INFORMATION

To ensure staff, students, and parents remain safe from the possible spread of COVID-19, the following safety measures must stay in place at each location during each collection process. 

  • No more than 50 people will be allowed in the building at a time. This does not include staff. 
  • Social Distancing Guidelines from SCDHEC of 6 feet from all others must remain in effect throughout the collection process. 
  • All staff must wear cloth masks and gloves during the collection process (masks and gloves provided by BCSD). 
  • Masks or face coverings are recommended for parents and/or students during the collection process
  • Plexiglas barriers will be provided by Facilities for each collection table 
  • Floor markings will indicate traffic pattern and distance requirements for students and parents to follow

 

 

PROCESS

Students will return devices to the RRA Media Center.

  1. Students will enter through the media center exterior door. 
  2. Students will visit a cleaning station to empty the bag of trash and belongings, remove stickers, and wipe the device thoroughly with rags and alcohol spray. 
  3. A staff member will verify the student’s name, give the student a pre-printed label, and instruct the student to staple correct colored tag over 1 handle of the bag
  4. Students will be directed to go to 1 of 2 stations: 
    • A. NO DAMAGES
    • B. MISSING/DAMAGES

 

 

CHARGES

  • Anything Missing (exception: bag strap) 
  • Anything that appears to be INTENTIONALLY damaged - If basic wear and tear, no charge
    • Including bags & Chargers
  • If charger wires are exposed and not able to be repaired on-site. 
  • If the bag is damaged beyond repair (writing (if in exiting year), torn apart, extreme odor) it will be disposed of in black trash bags (provided)
  • Asset tags removed - mark as LOST (lookup by serial numbers later and it will remove fine if found/checked in)
