A note from Mrs. Barner (ESOL Teacher):

Hi ESOL students! Please use your RAZ Kids logins. Read a book that interests you and complete the quiz once a day. Please remember to practice your English while you are away from school! Here are some assignments to choose from. Pick one each day. I will post more as needed.

  • Call or facetime a friend who speaks English and have a discussion about your favorite things
  • Write a grocery list
  • Write a story with your favorite person as the main character
  • Draw a picture and write to tell about it
  • Read a nonfiction book and write down 3 facts you learned
  • Read a nonfiction book and write 3 questions you still have
  • Record yourself telling about your favorite book, send the recommendation to a friend
  • Keep a documentation diary and write about your experiences
  • Keep a weather diary, tell about the weather every day
  • Read a news article and tell a friend or family member about it
  • Record yourself telling about your favorite song and what you like about it, send it to a friend
  • Read a book to a little sibling and ask them questions about it
  • Write a fun play and perform it with your siblings
  • Write about your favorite animal. Give three reasons why it is the best. Draw a picture to go with it.

  • Hola estudiantes de ESOL! Utilice sus inicios de sesión de RAZ Kids. Lea un libro que le interese y complete el cuestionario una vez al día. ¡Recuerda practicar tu inglés mientras estás fuera de la escuela! Aquí hay algunos consejos:
  • • Llame por telefono o FaceTime (video conferencia) a un amigo que hable inglés y hable sobre sus cosas favoritas.
    • Escribe una lista de compras
    • Escribe una historia con tu persona favorita como personaje principal
    • Haz un dibujo y escribe para contarlo
